What's New @MizzouGeog? 12.2.19
Can you believe it’s finally here? Welcome to the last week of classes! Here’s what’s new @MizzouGeog this week:
- Sign up for Maymester 2020 Transforming the Rockies! On this road trip of a lifetime (and 3-credit hour course), Dr. Grant Elliott and I will escort you through the Southern Rocky Mountains of Colorado from May 25 – June 5, where you will learn about geomorphologic process, mountain biogeography, and the cultural and historical geography of the Rockies. We will camp and hike in some of the most beautiful places in the country. A $575 supplemental fee covers your travel, camping, lodging, park fees, and most of your food. If you are interested, email Dr. Elliott (elliottg@missouri.edu) for more information.
- Come on out this evening for the Geography HRC/Geography Club/GTU Happy Hour at The Heidelberg today at 5:15. First round of appetizers is on us! A great way to start the last week of classes.
- You are cordially invited to the Geography Holiday Winter Potluck Luncheon this Friday, December 6 at 11 a.m. in Stewart 216. All students are welcome. We provide the ham; you bring a side: a sign up sheet is in the main office.
- Don’t forget to take care of yourself this week and heading into finals: good sleep, good eats, exercise, and lots of light. It’s that time of year when we enter a natural slump in our energy levels, yet our modern world doesn’t seem to respect that circannual rhythm, so it’s up to us to cope and adjust! The Counseling Center is always here if you need it: https://counseling.missouri.edu/. As are we! Don’t forget we faculty are here for you, too.
