Mizzou Research Team Publishes Indigital Study of 1895 Map of Oklahoma

MU Geography major Sarah Frost, MU Biology major Grace Martinez, and MU Geography Master’s alum Lasya Venigalla (Ph.D. student, University of Texas at Dallas ) and MU Geography Associate Professor Dr. Mark Palmer teamed up again, through the Honors College, resulting in a recently published journal article in the ISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information.

Nearly a year of teamwork went into using modern mapping technology to interpret an 1895 map drawn by a Kiowa man named Chál-ko-gái of what is now called Oklahoma.
